Terms & Conditions: Your Adventure Protocol

1. Payment & Securing Your Journey

A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total adventure cost is required to confirm your booking. The final balance is due 30 days before your expedition begins. We accept payments via major debit/credit cards (Visa & Mastercard) or bank transfer.

2. How to Book Your Expedition

All bookings must be initiated through our expedition desk at: travel@unpredictablesafaris.com. Your journey is officially reserved only once your 20% deposit is received, followed by a written confirmation sent to your provided email.

3. Bank Transfer Details

Bank transfers are welcome. Please note that all transaction fees (including those from intermediary banks) are the responsibility of the sender. The full invoice amount must be received in our account; any shortfall due to fees must be settled before departure.

4. Credit/Debit Card Payments

A 3% processing fee applies to all card payments (Visa & Mastercard accepted).

5. Payment Confirmation

We will send a prompt payment notification as soon as funds clear, specifying the exact amount received.

6. Last-Minute Adventures

For expeditions departing within 30 days of booking, full payment is required immediately to confirm all arrangements.

7. National Park Protocols

Tanzania’s national parks are accessible from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. All guests must respect the rules and regulations set by park authorities.

8. Travel Insurance – Your Essential Safety Net

We strongly require that all guests obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering medical evacuation, trip cancellation/interruption, and personal liability. The unpredictable nature of adventure travel makes this a non-negotiable safeguard for your peace of mind.

9. Special Requests & Celebrations

We delight in helping personalize your adventure! Please notify us of any special requests—dietary needs, surprise celebrations, accessibility concerns—at the time of booking so we can prepare wherever possible.

10. Dynamic Accommodation

Unpredictable Safaris reserves the right to substitute booked accommodations with others of a similar or superior standard if operational conditions require it, ensuring the continuity and quality of your experience.

11. Visas & Entry Requirements

A visa is required for most travelers to Tanzania. You may apply online via the official Tanzania e-Visa portal or through your nearest Tanzanian embassy. Requirements can change; our team can offer general guidance, but final responsibility for entry compliance lies with the traveler.

Unpredictable Safaris reserves the right to substitute booked accommodations with others of a similar or superior standard if operational conditions require it, ensuring the continuity and quality of your experience.

12. Lodge & Camp Check-in/out

Standard check-in is 2:00 PM and check-out is 10:00 AM. Early check-in or late check-out may be requested but are subject to availability and potential additional charges.

13. Health & Vaccinations

Consult your doctor or a travel health clinic well in advance for required and recommended vaccinations (e.g., Yellow Fever, Typhoid) and anti-malarial prophylaxis. Yellow Fever certification may be mandatory if you are traveling from or through a listed endemic country. Drink only bottled or purified water.

14. The Unpredictable Itinerary

By its very nature, an adventure in the wild requires flexibility. Weather, wildlife movements, or road conditions may necessitate changes to the planned itinerary at the discretion of your guide or Unpredictable Safaris, always with your safety and exceptional experience in mind.

15. Expedition Vehicles

Your journey will be conducted in our purpose-built, closed-top 4×4 safari vehicles, designed for comfort and optimal viewing, with a maximum of 7 guests per vehicle.

16. The Authentic Safari Experience

Our adventures place you in the heart of the wilderness. This authentic immersion means you may hear wildlife, experience rustic charm, and encounter the raw, unfiltered beauty of nature—this is the essence of a true safari.

17. Wildlife & Park Etiquette

For your safety and the protection of the ecosystem, always follow your guide’s instructions. Do not feed, approach, or disturb wildlife. Respect all park rules—we are visitors in their home.

18. Your Data & Privacy

We treat your personal information with the highest confidentiality. Data is used solely by Unpredictable Safaris and our trusted partners (lodges, airlines) to facilitate your tour and will never be sold or shared unlawfully.

19. Cancellation Policy

Cancellation charges apply to the total tour cost as follows:

  • More than 30 days prior: Loss of deposit (20%)

  • 29 to 15 days prior: 50%

  • 14 to 7 days prior: 75%

  • Less than 7 days prior or no-show: 100%

Some specialist camps/lodges have stricter policies; we will advise you of these if applicable.

20. Rate Revisions

We reserve the right to adjust quoted prices in the event of significant changes in government taxes, park fees, or fuel costs beyond our control.

21. Unsecured Reservations

Failure to pay the deposit within 48 hours of invoicing may result in automatic release of held services. Failure to pay the final balance 30 days prior may be treated as a cancellation.

22. Acknowledgement of Risk & Liability

Adventure travel carries inherent risks. By booking, you acknowledge these risks and agree that Unpredictable Safaris, its agents, and partners are not liable for:

  • Injury, illness, death, or loss of personal property.

  • Itinerary changes due to force majeure (weather, political unrest, etc.).
