Lake Manyara National Park

WELCOME TO

Lake Manyara National Park

Nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley, Lake Manyara National Park was established in 1960 and remains one of Tanzania’s most scenic and diverse wildlife areas. Though small in size, it’s incredibly rich in habitats, from lush groundwater forests and open savannahs to the shimmering alkaline lake that attracts thousands of flamingos. What makes Lake Manyara truly unique is its dramatic landscape contrast and the rare chance to see tree-climbing lions resting on acacia branches, a behavior found in very few places on Earth.
